A Multy-Year Study Reveals the Importance of Residual Herbicides on Weed Control in Glyphosate-Resistant Soybean Planta Daninha
NUNES,A.L.; LORENSET,J.; GUBIANI,J.E.; SANTOS,F.M..
ABSTRACT: A 3-year field study was conducted to assess the potential for using pre-emergent (PRE) herbicides tank mixed with glyphosate as a means of controlling weed species in soybean. In 2011/12, 2012/13 and 2013/14 growing sessions soybean cultivar Brasmax Apollo RR was planted under residues of rye. The herbicide treatments glyphosate (gly) (1,296 g a.i. ha-1), gly + S-metolachlor (1,296 + 1,920), gly + imazaquin (1,296 +161), gly + pendimethalin (1,296 + 1,000), gly + metribuzin (1,296 + 480), gly + 2.4-D amine (1,296 + 1,209) was applied in pre-emergence (PRE) over rye crop residues two days before soybean sowing. In addition, full season weed-free and weedy control plots were included. Gly + S-metolachlor and gly + pendimethalin reduced the...

In vitro culture of jambu with different growth regulators Horticultura Brasileira
Almeida,Susan P; Souza,Joanne MM; Amorim,Andredy MT; Gusmão,Sérgio AL de; Souza,Rodrigo ORM; Santos,Alberdan S.
ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to establish the best concentrations of growth regulators for in vitro cultivation of jambu for a subsequent elaboration of an efficient micropropagation protocol. After sterilized, the seeds were inoculated on different media (MS, ½MS and water-agar) for in vitro germination. Nodal segments of in vitro germinated jambu seedlings were used as explants in the micropropagation with different concentrations of 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) (0.0; 0.125; 0.25; 0.50 and 0.75 mg L-1) and callus induction with 2.4- dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2.4-D) (0.0; 0.25; 0.50; 0.75 and 1.0 mg L-1) on Murashige & Skoog’s (MS) medium. The highest germination rates were obtained on MS medium with better seedling development and greater height...

Use of Fertiactyl Pos® for Protection of Eucalyptus Plants Subjected to Herbicide Drift Planta Daninha
SANTOS JR.,A.; FREITAS,F.C.L.; SANTOS,I.T.; SILVA,D.C.; ALCÁNTARA-DE LA CRUZ,R.; FERREIRA,L.R..
ABSTRACT: Herbicide drift, due to application failures, can cause intoxication in eucalyptus plants, compromising their growth. However, the addition of protective products such as Fertiactyl Pós® to the syrup has been shown to be efficient in reducing intoxication of eucalyptus plants exposed to herbicide drift. Given this, the objective of the present study was to evaluate the protective effect of Fertiactyl Pós® on the reduction of damage caused by the herbicides glyphosate, 2,4-D and the glyphosate + 2.4-D mixture in eucalyptus plants. The experiment was conducted in a 3 x 2 + 1 factorial scheme, corresponding to three herbicides: glyphosate (1,440 g ha-1), 2,4-D (680 g ha-1), glyphosate + 2.4- D (1,440 g ha-1 + 680 g ha-1); two doses of Fertiactyl...
